Guests and friends of Belanova Apartments and Suites,
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, a lot of things have changed and unfortunately our industry has been one of the most affected. We wanted to reach out to first thank all of you for your support during these challenging times and to express our sincere well wishes to anyone who has been personally affected by the virus. We remain very grateful to those of you who may be health workers, on the frontlines of this unprecedented virus or providing other essential services to cushion the knock-on effects of the virus.
As the lockdown is gradually lifted and travel resumes, we also want to take this opportunity to share with our customers the measures we are taking to ensure that we support you in any future travel plans you have. We at Belanova are doing everything we can to ensure that you travel safely and comfortably.
Thankfully, due to our design as a low-density serviced apartment property, we have one of the largest square ft./guest ratios available in the Abuja metropolis, making social distancing easily achievable. Our open hallway design and adequate ventilation will also help to prevent the spread of the virus in our facility. Additionally, our fully equipped kitchens with individual microwaves, fridges, hobs and ovens will limit the need to eat at restaurants where social distancing may be more difficult. We hope that these will give a measure of comfort to those of you who do travel and choose to stay with us.
Measures we are taking to further enhance travel safety
In addition to the inherent elements of our design that make us a more favorable choice to limit the spread of COVID-19, we have updated our already stringent hygiene protocols.
All in-house hotel staff have been recently tested and cleared for the COVID-19 virus. We will continue to monitor the situation in case there is a need to repeat these tests.
We have increased the frequency of cleaning our public areas including stair railings, doors and door handles, with bleach and alcohol-based sanitizers which are known to kill the virus
Disinfectants and hand sanitizers have been made widely available for both guests and staff. These will be required for all persons upon entry to the hotel.
All staff and guests will be required to wear masks in public areas.
We are temporarily suspending the breakfast buffet to limit cross contamination of serving utensils. A-la-carte breakfast will be available to pre-order
We are prepared to act swiftly should we be alerted to a suspected case of COVID-19 on our premises. We have established lines of communication with NCDC and developed an emergency response procedure
We have set up an internal hotline to the management team should any guest observe any behavior from staff or other guests that cause concern. Please call +234 706 278 2772 and speak to management directly.
Elevator usage has been limited to one per car
Measures we are taking to further enhance your travel flexibility
We remain committed to offering you flexible booking options. Given the dynamic and uncertain situation, we are offering free cancellations up to 24hours before the booking through the end of June. We encourage you to book with us directly through a phone call to our front desk or through our website rather than coming in to book in person.
How to avoid contacting or spreading the virus
We want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of some simple and effective measures to limit spreading the virus:
Regularly wash your hands with soap and running water for at least 20 seconds. Wash your fingers and back of your hands thoroughly
Keep your fingers away from your face especially your nose and mouth
Avoid touching the railings in public places
Seek immediate medical help via the NCDC hotline if you notice COVID-19 symptoms.
Cover your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing.
Wear masks when going to public areas
Avoid contact with anyone showing respiratory symptoms
Whenever you decide to visit us, it would be our pleasure to serve you. We look forward to having you with us.
Kind Regards,
Mr. Ugo Ezeigwe
Managing Director
